BettrGolf LLC ("BettrGolf," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the BettrGolf app or website, you agree to the practices described here.
You sign in to the BettrGolf app using Sign in with Apple. When you do, Apple provides us with a unique identifier and an email address — either your real address or, if you choose “Hide My Email,” a private relay address that forwards to you. Apple shares your name with us only the first time you sign in. We never see your Apple ID password.
Instructors who use our web portal sign in with an email address and password that they create.
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and golf-related data you enter (rounds, scores, statistics, equipment, practice plans, and drill results). If you submit a swing video for analysis, we collect that video and any accompanying notes. During onboarding we ask a few questions about your game — your typical scores, your goals, how often you play, and what you would most like to improve — which we use to personalize your coaching and practice plans. When you join our waitlist, we collect your email address.
Your golf data is stored both on your device and on our servers. This is what allows your rounds, statistics, and plans to follow you if you change phones or reinstall the app. The app continues to work without an internet connection, and changes you make offline are uploaded once you reconnect.
We use your information to provide and improve the app's features — including AI coaching, swing analysis by our instructors, progress tracking, and practice recommendations. We use your email to send you important updates about your account and the service. We do not sell your personal information.
Swing videos you submit are shared only with the BettrGolf instructor assigned to review them. They are stored securely and used solely to provide you with personalized feedback. They are not shared with other members.
Conversations with our AI coaches are processed to generate responses and may be used to maintain continuity in your coaching experience. We use trusted third-party AI providers to power these features, and your data is handled in accordance with their security standards.
Your account and golf data are stored in a hosted database (Supabase) protected by row-level security rules, which mean your records can only be read or written by your own signed-in account. Swing videos are stored with a third-party media provider (Cloudinary), and some service traffic is processed through Cloudflare. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
BettrGolf relies on third-party services for video storage, secure data processing, and AI functionality. These providers process data only as needed to deliver our service.
Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card details — these are handled directly by Apple in accordance with their privacy practices.
You can permanently delete your account at any time from inside the app: go to More → Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your profile, rounds, statistics, practice plans, drill logs, swing submissions, and membership record from our servers as well as from your device. This cannot be undone. If you subscribed through the App Store, you should also cancel the subscription in your Apple subscription settings.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our systems. Limited records may be retained where we are required to do so for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
You may request access to or correction of your personal information at any time by contacting us, and you can delete your account yourself in the app as described above. You can also unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in those messages.
BettrGolf is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
